We are well into the summer and are also well into our preparations for this yearís Annual Meeting. At this point, we are well ahead in registration numbers for any of the prior 5 years and Maine looks like it is going to be a well-deserved hit for our members. The Program Committee has finished its final arrangements for new specialty sessions, focused forums and the development of our panel discussion. The Supreme Court has ruled on the Affordable Care Act and now the hard work comes to follow the timeline for its implementation. All good news, however, for the next few months we have to suffer through the difficult task of determining what is credible and helpful in the debate around the opportunities that lay before us. The summer of 2012 has been one to remember. Since Memorial Day most weekends have been dry with beautiful sun, blue sky and white clouds. Hiking, bicycling, fishing, beach & lake days and golf are all activities one can enjoy in New England. Nice weather allows us to participate in these activities. For us Red Sox baseball fans, the nice weather has not helped our beloved team on the diamond. As Red Sox fans know, there are good years and bad years. The latest trade was quite a blockbuster. Since it is late August, now we can focus on cheering for our New England Patriots.
